Eagle Eye Quickstart Guide

Welcome to Eagle Eye Networks, the highest rated cloud based video recording service worldwide. Here are a few tips to get you started!


Creating A Layout 

A layout is a specified group of cameras that are viewed concurrently in a grid.

To create a layout, first go to the Layout tab on the left side of the screen.

Click New Layout.


Adjust the display settings to your preference then click the Add Cameras tab.

Check the box next to each camera to add it to the layout.

Click Save Changes at the bottom.


Editing A Layout

Click Layout.

Select your layout.

Click the Layout Name at the top.

In the dropdown select Edit.


You can freely move the cameras, adjust the sizes, or delete cameras that you do not want on the layout.

When you are finished editing click Save Changes in the top right.


Setting and Enabling Notifications

Click Your Name in the top right.

Click My Profile.

Click the Notifications tab.

Check the box for the type of notifications you want to receive.

  • Push Notifications are for the mobile app; Eagle Eye Viewer

  • Email Notifications send notifications to the email on the account

“When” specifies the time frame you prefer to receive the notifications.

Click Save Changes.

Alerts are specified notifications based on Motion Zones. If you are interested in setting up these detection regions here is our guide on that feature.

Creating Users

Click Users.

Click the Yellow Plus in the top right or click Add User in the bottom right.

Put in the email for the user and their name.

The Permissions tab gives the user access to the system based on the parameters set here. (For more detailed information on Permissions refer to the linked document.)

The Cameras tab is for limiting access so the user can only see specific cameras.

The Layouts tab is for limiting access so the user can only see specific layouts.

Click Save at the bottom.


Creating Clips and Downloading Footage

You can create clips of footage and either download them to your computer or store them in the cloud.

To create a clip first go to the Dashboard.

Click the Clock icon next to a camera to pull up its historical footage.

Use the slider to go through the footage to find the video you want to save.

Once you know the Start and End time of the clip you want click the Save button.

Input the desired Start and End time.

  • If you want to save it for temporary use click the Download button.

  • If you want to save it to the cloud click the Archive button.

The clip will appear in the corresponding section of the dashboard.

Once the footage is saved it will be available for view and download to your computer.
