Masking Out Motion Regions
2024-05-09
Version 2.0
Motion Regions allow Users to be notified when motion events occur in areas of interest. Alternatively, they can prevent a camera from recognizing motion in areas of constant movement such as a street, television screen or foliage in the breeze.
This guide will show you how to set up both types of Motion Regions and how to configure alerts as well.
1. Click the Settings icon for a camera.
2. Select Motion.
3. Click the Yellow Plus to create a Motion Region.
4. Define the area of the Motion Region by clicking and dragging the icons on the edges of the shape.
5. Adjust the Sensitivity of the Region.
With 0 Sensitivity, the camera will not record based on motion in the area.
Other Sensitivity settings define how sensitive the camera is to motion for that region.
Object Size indicates how large the object is in the frame of reference for the camera. Click the Blue Question Mark icon for an in-depth explanation.
6. Click Apply.
7. Click Save Changes.
