Version 2.0

Quick Notes

If you do not have the login information for the device please boot into safety mode to reset the password. To boot into this hold both shifts and reboot the unit. This will prompt you to set a password for the device with the username admin.

The Display Station must be on the same network as the cameras it wants to have displayed. (ie. camLAN or WAN)

Configuration

System > Features

  1. Enable Eagle Eye Networks Integration

  1. Save and reboot

Network

DHCP is enabled by default, if this needs to be changed to a static address input that information in this tab and Save.

Integration

The user login that is going to be used for the integration should be a separate account from the one the customer will be using. Input the EE login credentials in this tab.

Save and Sync.

Views

After integration the View names will change to the names of layouts rather than the generic “View 1,2…” The settings below will allow you to change the layout of the cameras on the layout, which should not be necessary.

A sequence will allow you to set the display to cycle through multiple views on a specific interval. The view numbers line up with the views listed above.

(ie. View 1= New Layout and View 2=ds200 pls)

Video Outputs

This is where you choose what to display on the DS200.

Once selected you will see a preview of the image here as well.

The above information is when the integration works correctly. Once it is fully set up in this way, turn off the integration in the System tab and reboot. We want to turn it off as it is only useful to initially grab the layouts from the account and if left on can cause issues down the line.

Manual Configuration

To manually configure the system we will need to add each camera stream one by one. This is done under the Data Sources tab. If the cameras are added via ONVIF the Wizard will make it simple.

  • Select a Data Source slot

  • Name the Device

  • Select the Data Source Type

    • ONVIF/RTSP for cameras added via ONVIF

    • RTSP for RTSP cameras

  • For ONVIF cams run the Discovery Wizard

  • For RTSP cams Show Advanced Settings

If the H.264 stream resolution is over 1080p it will not stream on the DS200 (unless the monitor is capable of 4K) in this case use the MJPEG preview stream.

Decoding Priority

Change this to Low Latency Mode to prevent time desyncing issues.

ONVIF Discovery Wizard

  1. Select the camera.

  2. Fill out the username and password fields.

  3. Click next.

  1. Select the H.264 stream.

  1. Click Next.

  2. Click Done.

  • The information will populate in the Advanced Settings section.

  1. Change the Stream Mode to RTSP/UDP (Unicast Only).

  2. Save Changes.

  3. Test Connection.

“Connection attempt successful.”

The Data Source is now linked to the camera and can be used to create a view on the Display.

Adding RTSP Cameras

Data Source Type: Video over RTSP

Stream Mode: RTSP/ UDP (Multicast or Unicast)

Fill out the Username and Password fields for the camera.

Utilize Debug Mode to get the stream URL for the camera.

  1. Enter debug mode with ctrl+d.

  2. Click the Settings icon for the camera.

  3. Scroll down in Camera Information and click Get RTSP Info.

  4. Copy the H.264 stream url and paste into the Connection URL for the display station.

  5. Save Changes.

  6. Test Connection.

“Connection attempt successful.”

The Data Source is now linked to the camera and can be used to create a view on the Display.

*Use the Preview URL if the main stream resolution is above 1080p.

Once all the data sources are added you can create a View (a layout) from the Views tab.

Create a View

  1. Select View.

  1. Assign a Data Source to the needed tile location.

  2. Click Save.

You can then choose this View to be displayed in the Video Outputs tab
