Description


There are 3 ways to connect directly to the bridge/CMVR:

If a bridge fails to reach the login screen a HMDI monitor and USB keyboard will be required for troubleshooting.

  1. A usb keyboard and an HDMI monitor.
  2. A usb cable and your mobile phone
  3. A laptop connected to the same network as the bridge and PuTTy (or another SSH client) installed on your laptop.

Connecting via Monitor & Keyboard

  1. With the unit powered off, connect a monitor (HMDI) and keyboard (USB) and power on the unit.
  2. When the login prompt appears, login with (username: admin, password: last 5 [or 6 digits] of the serial number)


Connecting via PuTTY

  1. Download PuTTY.
  2. Ensure your laptop's network interface is set to DHCP (Guide).
  3. Connect your laptop directly to the CamLAN port of the bridge/CMVR.
  4. Run PuTTY.
  5. Enter 10.143.0.1 into the Hostname field.
  6. Enter 22 into the Port Number field.
  7. Please note that some Eagle Eye bridges/CMVRs will require port 33022.
  8. Select the SSH connection type and press “Open”.
  9. You may receive a PuTTY Security Alert, select No.
  10. When the login prompt appears, login with (username: admin, password: last 5 [or 6 digits] of the serial number)

Please ensure that you have the Eagle Eye Viewer application installed on your Android or iOS device and are logged in with a user located on the account.

  1. With Eagle Eye Viewer running, connect your mobile device to any USB port on the bridge/CMVR.

    1. iOS - You will need to agree to Trust this Computer when prompted.

    2. Android - You will need to enable USB Debugging. This can be found in System > Developer Options > USB Debugging.

      1. If Developer Options is not available navigate to Settings > About Phone > Software Information and continuously tap Build Number until the message “Developer mode has been enabled" appears.

  2. When the login prompt appears, login with (username: admin, password: last 5 [or 6 digits] of the serial number)

    1. The password will not appear as it's being entered.
