Cisco Switch Configuration
Cisco Switch Configuration
2024-05-13
Version 2.0
These configurations must be made before contacting Eagle Eye Networks Technical Support for assistance. Eagle Eye will not be able to communicate with cameras that are attached to the switch if it is configured incorrectly. Eagle Eye cannot access switches made by another manufacturer.
Utilizing multiple VLANs on an Eagle Eye system can add complications when integrating cameras, so it is not a recommended configuration. If utilizing this networking configuration, ensure to inform the Eagle Eye Tech Support agent (if support is needed).
Navigate to Switch > Configure > Routing and DHCP.
Select the interfaces that require multicast routing.
Under Multicast Support, select Enable Multicast Routing and Flood Multicast Traffic.
Click Save.
Managed Switches can forward IGMP traffic, but will run IGMP snooping by default. This prevents the switch from sending multicast traffic to hosts who are not yet joined with the proper multicast group.
Navigate to Switch > Switch Settings page in the Dashboard.
Disable IGMP Snooping.
