Changing Network Settings for a Bridge

By default, all of our devices are set up for DHCP on the WAN and the CamLAN. In order to reconfigure these settings you will need to connect a keyboard and monitor (or a smart phone with Eagle Eye Viewer installed) locally. The steps below will walk you through changing the WAN and CamLAN.
- If you see cameras displayed on the monitor, or see a black screen, the bridge may be in Local Display mode. To exit this press Q on the keyboard.
- Navigate the menus with a combination of Arrow Keys and Tab.
WAN
Using the default settings on the WAN will require a network with a DHCP server. If you do not have a DHCP server, or have a static configuration, you will need to adjust the WAN settings.
Log in to the bridge.
User: admin; Password: <last 5 (or 6) of serial number>
Select Configure WAN.
DHCP is on by default. Select Static to configure the device statically.
Enter the information based on the local network configuration.
Select OK.
Run Network Diagnostics to verify network configuration.
Camera LAN
Most of the time, changing the CamLAN is not recommended because it complicates the implementation process. The CamLAN acts as a DHCP server to the cameras unless DHCP is turned off. The CamLan IP settings should only be changed if you are installing an Eagle Eye Bridge on an existing camera environment and the cameras are already set to a static network or; you are implementing Cloud Video Replication.
Changing these settings is just as simple as changing the WAN settings.
Log in to the bridge.
Select Configure CamLAN.
Leave DHCP on if the cameras are Dynamic.
Turn DHCP off if the cameras are Static.
Change the starting IP and subnet mask to match the camera configuration.
Select OK.
Log in to the bridge.
