Adding Users

2024-12-17

Version 1.0

Description

Adding a User to an account allows them to access the cameras and, based on permissions, adjust settings for the account. This guide will show you how to give people access to your account.

Step-by-Step

Access the Users tab within the Eagle Eye Dashboard.

Notes
If you don’t see the Users tab, you do not have permission to access it. Speak with an account administrator or your Reseller for assistance.

Click Add User.

Input the email and name for the User you wish to add to the account.

Alert
An email can only be used for one account within the Eagle Eye Networks system.

Click Permissions.

Select the permissions you want the User to have.

Info
You can click the dropdown arrow for each section for a breakdown of the permissions options.

Click Access.

Here you can adjust the access period for the User.

24hrs means they can log in at any time and is the default value.

Location can be set for organizational purposes.

Employee ID can be used as a label for your organizational purposes.

Select Locations.

User access can be limited to a specific location in this section. If devices are not tied to locations, this option may not appear.

Select All to allow access to all locations, including newly created ones.

Select Cameras.

User access can be limited to specific cameras in this section.

Select All to allow access to all cameras, including newly added ones.

Select Layouts.

User access can be limited to specific layouts in this section.

Select All to allow access to all layouts, including newly created ones.

Once properly configured, select Save.

Warning
The user will receive an activation email they’ll need to verify within 24hrs or it will expire. Administrators can resend this activation email if necessary.
