After re-connecting the camera, the application may still not detect the camera. This problem can have several causes. In order to solve this problem, follow one or more steps below.
In most of the cases the camera isn’t connected to the same network as the using computer or laptop. Make sure that the camera is connected to the same router as your computer or laptop. Connect the right ethernet cable to the camera and clickAdd my cameraagain. If this isn’t solving the problem, go to step 2.
Check if there is a firewall present. To turn this firewall off, follow step 3 (Windows) or step 4 (Mac).
Open Windows Firewall by clicking theStartbutton, clickingControl Panel,clickingSecurity, and then clickingWindows Firewall. ClickTurn Windows Firewall onoroff. Administrator permission required If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
Click on the Apple menu from your toolbar. SelectSystem Preferences. ChooseView, then selectSecuritywhen the System Preferences window appears on your screen. Click on theFirewall tab.Select theStopbutton to disable your firewall."Firewall Off"will now be displayed above the button.
