The ‘Port checker’ appears when opening the application on my Windows computer.
The port checker appears when the client application is unable to start. This can have several causes. Follow one or more steps below to solve the problem.
- Test the version of Java you have to make sure it is the latest.
- Make sure there are no firewalls disabling the application to work. Open Windows Firewall by clicking the Start button clicking Control Panel, clicking Security, and then clicking Windows Firewall. Click Turn Windows Firewall on or off. Administrator permission required If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
- Call your network engineer to unblock the connection between the platform and the client application.
- Make sure there is no proxy used by the PC that doesn’t allow the traffic between the computer and the client application. Click start, then click Control panel. Open the Connections taband click LAN settings. Uncheck the check box at the Proxy server part. Click OK.
