To integrate a Hikvision camera there are a few settings that need adjustment. Please follow the steps below to configure the device so that it integrates properly with the Eagle Eye Networks system.
Log in to the Hikvision Camera.
Select System>Security.
Select Security Service.
Deselect Enable Login Lock.
Click Save.
Log in to the Hikvision Camera.
Select System>Security.
Select Authentication.
From the RTSP Authentication dropdown select digest/basic.
From the RTSP Digest Algorithm dropdown select MD5.
Log in to the Hikvision Camera.
Select Network>Advanced Settings.
Select Integration Protocol.
Select Enable Hikvision-CGI if it is an option on your camera model.
From the Dropdown Menu select the proper authentication method:
If the dropdown menu is titled Hikvision-CGI Authentication, select Digest.
If the dropdown menu is titled ONVIF Authentication, select
Digest&WS-UsernameToken instead.
Select Enable ONVIF.
Add a User, with the same login information as the camera, at Administrator level.
Click Save.
If you set ONVIF Authentication to Digest&WS-UsernameToken,
reboot the camera for the change to take effect.Log in to the Hikvision Camera.
Select Image>OSD Settings.
The OSD can cause motion events in the Eagle Eye system triggering recording.
Deselect Display Date.
Click Save.
Main Stream
Select Video/Audio>Video.
From the Stream Type drop-down select Main Steam(Normal).
Select the preferred Resolution.
Select 12fps for the Frame Rate.
Select H.264 for Video Encoding.
Eagle Eye Networks only supports native H.264.
Click Save.
Sub-Stream
Select Video/Audio>Video.
From the Stream Type drop-down select Sub-stream.
Select the preferred Resolution.
Select 8fps for the Frame Rate.
Select MJPEG for Video Encoding.
Select Save.
Select System>System Settings.
Select Time Settings.
Ensure the Time Zone is correct.
Some cameras will have the wrong date and that prevents the Eagle Eye system from connecting to it properly.
If there are any issues selecting the Time Zone attempt to Sync with computer time.
Click Save.
