Version 1.1
| Frequently Asked Questions |
What is changing?
- We are consolidating all existing login methods into a single, standardized authentication screen. Regardless of whether you navigate to the Classic or Enhanced URL, you will be directed to our new, unified login screen, which uses the industry-standard OAuth protocol for improved security to ensure your video footage remains more secure than ever before.
Why are we making this change?
- The new platform is based on the OAuth standard, which provides a significantly more robust and modern security foundation for managing user identities and access. It also streamlines the authentication flow, ensuring a consistent experience across all company applications.
When is this change happening?
- The transition to the new authentication platform will be completed on October 13th. After this date, all sign-in attempts will be routed through the new screen.
Will I have to change my password?
- NO - Your existing credentials (username and password) will work without modification on the new login screen.
What happens if I have a branded login page?
- Nothing - If you use a branded login page, you will continue to use the existing login process. Nothing will change for you.
Will I be forced to use the new Enhanced web application?
- NO - The login platform will retain your preference. After successful authentication, you will be automatically redirected to the application version you accessed during your last session (Classic or Enhanced).
Login flow for the Classic web application.
- Continue to use your current Classic web application URL. Upon attempting to log in, you will be shown the new, centralized authentication screen. After successful sign-in, you will be redirected to the Classic interface as usual.
Login flow for the Enhanced web application.
- Continue to use your current Enhanced web interface URL. You will be directed to the new, centralized authentication screen before accessing the interface you are familiar with.
Troubleshooting login errors.
- If you encounter an error after the transition, first attempt to clear your browser's cache and cookies and try logging in again. If the issue persists, please contact our support team immediately at support@een.com
Impact on saved bookmarks.
- All existing bookmarks for the Classic and Enhanced application login pages will be maintained and will automatically redirect users to the new, unified authentication screen.
