Classic Vs Enhanced Interface

Currently, Eagle Eye offers two different versions of our VMS (Video Management System), the Classic and Enhanced Web Interfaces. The Classic Interface is our legacy version UI, while the Enhanced Interface is our newer interface that features a more modern look, improves user experience, and includes more features that are only available within the Enhanced Interface. Please see the appnote attached for a deep dive on the enhanced interface.

Switching Between Classic And Enhanced Interfaces


Moving to Enhanced from Classic: 

  1. Click the blue button at the top of the screen.


Moving to Classic from Enhanced

  1. Click on your initials at the top right, then select "Classic Interface" in the drop-down menu.

 


Adding Devices

First, ensure you are on the “Dashboards” tab on the left. To add a device to your account, simply click the “+ Add device” button on the top right and select the type of device you wish to add.

Alert
Be aware that adding devices increases billing charges on the account. Regardless if the device is offline or not.


Adding a Bridge

  1. After clicking the “Add bridge” button, you will be prompted to enter the Attach ID, which will be found on a piece of paper included in the box of your new bridge. Please allow up to 10 minutes for the newly added bridge to come online.  


Adding a Camera
  1. After clicking the “Add Cameras” option, you see the cameras that are ready to be added to a bridge. Clicking the Plus button highlighted below will assign the camera that the bridge is associated with

  1. Your camera will now be added to the bridge. Please allow up to 10 minutes for the camera to come online. 


Notes

If you do not see your camera listed in this section, check the following

  • The camera is properly configured with a valid ONVIF profile. 

  • The camera is on the same subnet/VLAN as the bridge interface you are connecting it to. 

  • The camera is powered on and receiving power.

  • You have the correct permissions to add devices. 

  • Refresh the page.
